Tai-Chi

Tai Chi, the art of moving meditation that cultivates internal power, is a practice guided by intention, expressed through spirit, and embodied in form—where motion and stillness merge in the journey of inner transformation.

Background

Master Donna

Sifu Donna has studied under several 20th-generation descendants of the authentic Chen-style Tai Chi lineage since 2016, returning to China multiple times for intensive training. Her masters recognized her as a highly insightful disciple.

Sifu Donna has earned 11 gold medals in various Tai Chi competitions and is a nationally certified Tai Chi judge by the State Sports Bureau of China (Beijing). For the past eight years, she has been teaching Tai Chi classes to adults in the Bay Area and was honored with the "Most Impactful Tai Chi Instructor" award. She has also taught Tai Chi to 6-18 years old students, who responded very positively to her classes.

Sifu Donna teaches Tai Chi fluently in English, and can also provide instruction in Mandarin or Cantonese when needed.

What Students Say

Real feedback from our community

Wanda, Occupational Therapist

Fortunately, I found Donna when I was at a low point in my life. I was recovering from two shoulder surgeries and struggling with low energy. Donna has advanced skills to progress me gradually and not aggravate my pain. My energy is much better with the help of Donna and her special skills in Tai Chi, I also had a lot of fun!

Susan, Retiree

Sifu Donna Tse is a great teacher, she is so kind and patient to take care of every student, especially those new students ! (She taught) me from very basic to gradually more and more, now I practice every morning and evening. My medical condition improved so much, all my friends looked at me, and admired my young looking and happiness! I told them that just because "I joined the Tai-Chi class in Millbrae from Sifu Donna Tse."

Meghan, Writer

I am a new student to Tai Chi and Qigong and have been learning from Donna for several months. Donna's passion and dedication to Tai Chi is evident in her teachings. She doesn't just instruct her students, she instills them with knowledge and guidance that creates a powerful connection to the practice of Tai Chi and Qigong. Her commitment to her work is inspirational. She builds a firm foundation for first-time learners and teaches them the movements, as well as the meanings and reasoning behind each posture. Not only have I experienced personal growth in my abilities and flexibility, but I have observed my mind and body grow stronger and more confident with each class.

Lisa, Acupuncturist

Hi Donna, I just want to express my gratitude again for all that you do! Just speaking to you today gave me a profound sense of calm. I echo everything that was said today. Your light and generosity just shine through - many many thanks…Thank you for the update… And thanks so much. I am actually continuing standing meditation practice since last week - I think this is a record for continuing practice.

The deepest connection between people lies in the exchange of positive energy—uplifting one another toward our fullest potential. For me, Tai Chi is more than movement; it is a language of energy, a way to send light into the world and connect from the heart.
